Syfy Is Making a Late Night Animated Show Called ALIEN NEWS DESK

Syfy is going to trying to get into the world of animation with Alien News Desk. The series will be a weekly late-night series that comes from some Saturday Night Live vets, Will Forte and Heidi Gardner.

Alien News Desk currently has an order for 12 episodes and will premiere in early 2019 according to THR. Forte will voice Drexx Drudlarr while Gardner will be Tuva Van Void as the aliens “provide topical commentary on the universe's most baffling species: humans.”

Dennis McNicholas will serve as showrunner while Lorne Michaels and Erik Kenward will serve as executive producers. Those three are also SNL vets. These vets will be joined by Scott Greenberg, Joel Kuwahara, and Andrew Singer, who will all be executive producers.
