SyFy Releases Great Promo Spots For The Russo Bros. DEADLY CLASS and George R.R. Martin's NIGHTFLYERS
The SyFy Channel is starting to promote a couple of its big upcoming shows. One is called Deadly Class, which comes from the director of Avengers: Infinity War. The other is called Nightflyers, which comes from Games of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin. Both of them look like they could be great shows!
Deadly Class is based on the Image Comics property created by Rick Remender and Wes Craig. This is the synopsis that was released for it.
The series is set in a dark, comic book world against the backdrop of late 1980s counter culture. It follows a homeless teen recruited into a storied elite private school where the world’s top crime families send their next generations. Maintaining his moral code while surviving a ruthless curriculum, vicious social cliques, and his own adolescent uncertainties soon proves to be vital.
The series stars Benedict Wong (Doctor Strange), Benjamin Wadsworth (Teen Wolf), Lana Condor (X-Men: Apocalypse, Alita: Battle Angel), Maria Gabriela de Faria (Yo Soy Franky, Sitiados), Luke Tennie (Shock and Awe), Liam James (The Way Way Back, The Killing) and Michel Duval (Señora Acero, Queen of the South).
Here's the first look promo that was released that features footage from the series along with the creative team involved with developing it.
Nightflyers is based on the novella written by Martin, that tells the story of "eight maverick scientists and a powerful telepath who embark on an expedition to the edge of our solar system in the hopes of contacting alien life. They travel aboard The Nightflyer – a ship with a small tight knit crew and a reclusive captain. But when terrifying and violent events begin to take place they start to question each other, and surviving the journey proves harder than anyone thought."
The series will star Gretchen Mol as Dr. Agatha Matheson, alongside Eoin Macken as Karl D’Branin, David Ajala as Roy Eris, Sam Strike as Thale, Maya Eshet as Lommie, Angus Sampson as Rowan, Jodie Turner-Smith as Melantha Jhirl, and Brían F. O’Byrne as Auggie.
