The CW Renews 12 Shows Including THE FLASH, BATWOMAN, WALKER, RIVERDALE, ROSWELL, and More

The CW has announced that they have renewed 12 of their shows for a variety of different fans and audiences. This is the majority of their lineup.

All American, Batwoman, Charmed, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Dynasty, The Flash, In The Dark, Legacies, Nancy Drew, Riverdale, Roswell, New Mexico, and the recently released Walker will all return for the 2021-22 season.

All American comes back for Season 5, Batwoman is back for Season 3, Charmed is heading into Season 4, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow moving into Season 7, Dynasty continues with Season 5, The Flash is coming in at Season 8, In The Dark has been greenlit for Season 4, Legacies gets Season 5, Nancy Drew has received a Season 3, Riverdale returns for Season 6 and Roswell, New Mexico is back with Season 4.

Shows that have not received a renewal order include Superman & LoisKung FuRepublic of Sarah, and returning summer series Stargirl. They have yet to premiere their current seasons, though. The shows that definitely won’t be coming back are Black Lightning and Supergirl. The network already announced that both of those shows are coming to an end.

The CW President and CEO Mark Pedowitz told Deadline:

“Though we’re just a few weeks into the new season, we wanted to get a strategic head start on next season with these early renewals, which allows our production teams to start laying out story arcs and hiring staff, and at the same time, continues to provide us with a strong, stable schedule to build on for next season. As The CW’s 2020-2021 season kicks into high gear, we are thrilled creatively with the direction of our first new shows out of the gate, Walker and Superman & Lois, that we wanted to order the additional episodes to complete their first seasons.”

Are there any shows here that you’re particularly excited to see returning for another season?
