The Director of THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE Offers More Insight on The Awesome Extended Takes in Episode 6

I still can’t help but want to talk about Netflix’s horror series The Haunting of Hill House. That series seriously left an impression on me. Thanks to the director of the series, Mike Flanagan, we have some additional insight to share with you regarding the impressive extended scenes in the Episode 6, which is titled “Two Storms”.

This is the best episode of the series and even though we already saw a featurette that offered us a behind-the-scenes look at “Two Storms”, Flanagan wanted to break down how it all came together because he’s getting so many questions about it.

Here’s the lengthy detailed break down that he shared on Twitter:

That’s probably the best and most detailed break down that we’ll ever get of Episode 6. It’s interesting to learn everything that had to happen to bring this episode to life.

If you haven’t watch the series yet, it’s currently on Netflix. It’s a modern reimagining the original story and here’s the synopsis:

The series will explore a group of siblings who, as children, grew up in what would go on to become the most famous haunted house in the country. Now adults, and forced back together in the face of tragedy, the family must finally confront the ghosts of their past — some of which still lurk in their minds while others may actually be stalking the shadows of Hill House.

The series is also described as a complex family drama wrapped in a chilling horror story. The series stars Michiel Huisman (Game of Thrones), Carla Gugino (Gerald’s Game), Timothy Hutton (All The Money In The World), Elizabeth Reaser (Twilight), Oliver Jackson-Cohen (The Healer), Henry Thomas (Better Things), Kate Siegel (Hush) and Victoria Pedretti (Sole).
