THE FANTASTC FOUR: FIRST STEPS Concept Art Reveals Julia Garner’s Silver Surfer and More
Fresh off the reveal of some cool and interesting Avengers: Doomsday concept art, we now have a closer look at The Fantastic Four: First Steps, thanks to designs from Marvel Concept artist Mushk Rizvi.
This latest batch of artwork gives us an early peek at Marvel’s First Family and, most notably, our first look at Julia Garner’s Silver Surfer.
The concept art, pulled from Rizvi’s ArtStation Page, showcases various costume designs for the Fantastic Four team, alternative looks for H.E.R.B.I.E. the robot, and even confirmation that Franklin Richards will be making an appearance.
One particularly fun piece even shows Franklin rocking a Spider-Man onesie while using his powers.
Marvel Studios has yet to make any official announcements about Franklin’s involvement, we now know there’s a good chance he’ll be in the movie if they stuck to this early concept art for the film.
With The Fantastic Four: First Steps shaping up to be one of Marvel’s most anticipated projects, these early glimpses at character designs are sure to fuel excitement.
In the film: “Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, Marvel Studios' The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Marvel’s First Family—Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Joseph Quinn) and Ben Grimm/The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) as they face their most daunting challenge yet.
“Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.”
Additional roles are being played by Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, and Natasha Lyonne.
The movie is being directed by Matt Shakman from a screenplay by Josh Friedman, who was brought in to rewrite the script originally written by Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer.
The Fantastic 4: First Steps is scheduled to hit theaters on July 25, 2025.
