The Loyal Subjects and Hasbro Unveil First Look at M.A.S.K. Toy Line Revival

M.A.S.K. is back! After years of fans clamoring for a proper revival, The Loyal Subjects (TLS) has teamed up with Hasbro to breathe new life into the classic 1985 toy line just in time for its 40th anniversary. And we’ve got the first official look at what they’ve been working on.

Leading the line is the M.A.S.K. Mobile Defense Unit (MDU), a modern reimagining of the legendary big rig truck. This beast isn’t just a nostalgia trip, and it’s a fully decked-out mobile command center, complete with a missile launcher, weapon effects, an extendable battering ramp, and a detachable trailer that transforms into its own vehicle.

And of course, it wouldn’t be complete without figures of Matt Trakker and Bruce Sato, ready to roll into action.

Jonathan Cathey, CEO and Founder of The Loyal Subjects: “We’re so pumped to finally reveal our initial M.A.S.K. collection! We’ve put a lot of love into making sure these toys stay true to the original while bringing that classic magic into the modern day. Fans are going to love the attention to detail and high quality, including the conversions to battle modes!”

The first wave also includes Condor, Thunderhawk, and the High Tech Helicopter, each coming with their respective action figure pilot.

TLS is also bringing enhanced articulation, foot pegs for the vehicles, blast effects, and projectile features to make these releases more dynamic than ever. And they’re sticking to classic-style packaging and consumer-applied labels, keeping that retro feel of the original toys.

M.A.S.K. is a 1985 animated series that I loved watching when I was a kid. It ran for 75 episodes, following Matt Trakker and the Mobile Armored Strike Kommand (M.A.S.K.) as they squared off against the villainous Vicious Evil Network of Mayhem (V.E.N.O.M.).

The show is a defining part of ‘80s pop culture, blending high-octane action with futuristic transforming vehicles.

Now, with TLS and Hasbro giving it a fresh start, longtime fans and a new generation alike can experience the thrill all over again. M.A.S.K. is officially back in action!
