The Same Actor Quentin Tarantino Cast as Charles Manson is Also Playing Manson in MINDHUNTER Season 2

It seems like actor Damon Herriman (Justified) is Hollywood's go to guy for Charles Manson. It was recently announced that he would be playing the cult leader in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Now we've learned that Herriman is also playing Manson in the second season of David Fincher's serial killer drama Mindhunter.

The news from Collider, who explains that Herriman was actually cast in Mindhunter first and that he already shot his scenes in July. The fact that he's been cast back to back in these projects tells us his take on Manson must be pretty impressive.

Inside sources say that "while Herriman will appear as a 1969-era Manson in the Tarantino film, his appearance in Mindhunter will be in the ’80s, when Manson was already behind bars. That lines up with previous reports that the second season will feature the Atlanta Child Murders, which took place between 1979 and 1981. Other serial killers expected to appear include the Son of Sam and, of course, the BTK Killer, who popped up throughout the first season, though he was never mentioned by name."

Netflix's Mindhunter is an incredible series! The first season completely floored me and I can't wait for Season 2! If you haven't watched this series yet, you really need to check it out.

There’s no premiere date yet for Mindhunter Season 2 yet, so we don't know if we will see Herriman as Manson before Once Upon a Time in Hollywood opens on July 26, 2019.
