THE X-FILES Adds Lauren Ambrose, Robbie Amell, and Kumail Nanjiani

This has been a great week for announcements for X-Files guest stars. First off, Kumail Nanjiani, known for his roles in Silicon Valley, Franklin and Bash, and many more has announced he would guest starring in an episode of the short series of The X-Files. More recently, THR reported that Robbie Amell and Lauren Ambrose will also be guest starring in one of the episodes. Amell recently has been seen on The Flash as Firestorm while Ambrose played Claire Fisher on Six Feet Under.  

All these actors are great performers in their own right. I loved Amell in The Flash. The relationship between his character, Robbie Raymond, and the character of Martin Stein was one of the greatest joint mind team-up characters I've seen. Granted, I don't see a lot of joint mind team-ups. I'm most excited for Kumail Nanjiani's role, however. He will be guest starring in an episode called "Mulder and Skully Meet the Were-Monster." He has guest starred in many different TV shows in the past and I've always seen how he elevates them as a guest star (not to mention the fact that he hosts a podcast about the show called "The X-Files Files"). 

All in all, this new series of The X-Files looks to be something truly great. We'll have to see when it is released on January 24th, 2016.  Here's a photo that Nanjiani tweeted out of himself hanging out with returning stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson.
