TONY HAWK'S PRO SKATER 1 & 2 Is Getting a Free Update with CRASH BANDICOOT Gear
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 & 2 is one of my favorite games of the year. It’s absolutely incredible, and the folks over at Activision have some plans for an update coming out soon. First, a bunch of swag featuring Crash and Coco from Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will become available including nine shirts, three hats, and one skateboard deck. It’s a shame they didn’t make them playable characters. That’d be dope.
The update will also add Solo Tours so that players can level up their favorite skaters. When you start a new Solo Tour, all Goals and Medals will be reset, so you can progress as normal. Meanwhile, all current Tours will be moved to Crew Tours to preserve any progress made. In addition, there will be new objectives added to provide XP and in-game Cash to the online Multiplayer, Create-A-Park, and Combo Practice modes. You can now reach Level 100 and earn XP faster. Oh, and Multiplayer playlists are being improved for better randomization.
The final part of the free update (yes, everything mentioned so far is free) is the addition of the artwork of the three winners from the Create-A-Deck contest. These decks look sick! The entire free update will be available on November 6 at 8 AM PST for all platforms.
With all that said, there is one piece of paid DLC also becoming available. The Birdman Pack features 10 additional boards for skaters to use from Birdhouse and Powell-Peralta. The DLC will cost $4.99 and 100% of the net proceeds will be used to “help support the construction of public skateparks for youth in underserved communities.” That’s a pretty great reason to chip in a few bucks, right?
