The highly anticipated sequel to A Quiet Place has been given a release date of May 15th, 2020. In addition, Paramount has pushed the release date of Top Gun 2 back from July 12th, 2019, to June 26th, 2020. That's almost a whole year! Not much is known about the sequel to A Quiet Place, but Top Gun: Maverick will feature Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer reprising their roles from the 1986 film.

It will also feature the talent of Glen Powell, Jennifer Connelly, Miles Teller, Jon Hamm, Ed Harris, Lewis Pullman, Thomasin McKenzie, Charles Parnell, Jay Ellis, Bashir Salahuddin, Danny Ramirez, and Monica Barbaro with Joseph Kosinski serving as director.

The script will be written by Peter Craig, Justin Marks, and Eric Warren Singer. The sequel takes place with Maverick (Cruise) as a Top Gun flight instructor and it will explore the antagonistic relationship between Maverick and Goose's son (Teller), who isn't very happy with Maverick and the role he played in his dad's death.
