TOTAL WAR: ROME REMASTERED Launching in April

SEGA recently announced that fans will be able to play Total War: Rome Remastered in April. Working in collaboration with Feral Interactive, this remaster of a classic game will let fans relive and revisit building their vast empire and conquering Rome. Rome Remastered offers players “the original Total War formula” that strategy gamers have loved and injected it with overhauled visuals; support for ultra-high-definition resolution; 16 additional factions; cross-platform multiplayer between Linux, Mac, and PC; and improved accessibility. Rob Bartholomew at Creative Assembly said:

What better excuse than the 20th year of Total War to revisit a grand master? The original release of Rome marks a special time for us as our first major break-out title; it's amazing to get the opportunity to Remaster it with our friends at Feral.

David Stephen of Feral Interactive added:

Working to remaster a classic such as Rome, has been an exhilarating challenge: a bit like recutting the crown jewels. We are delighted with the result and hope that fans of this fantastic franchise will be too.

I do want to note that the original ROME: Total War Collection will be included, but only playable on Windows. Sorry Mac and Linux fans. Total War: Rome Remastered will launch on April 29 with pre-orders now live through Steam, Creative Assembly, and Feral Interactive. If you own the original game on Steam, you can also get 50% off of your purchase until June 1. That’s a pretty awesome deal.

The glowing light of a new dawn shines on the Roman Empire. Conquer Ancient Rome like never before... Send merchants on trade missions, command ferocious bat...
