Trailer For HEARTS OF DARKNESS Explores The Making of JASON GOES TO HELL: THE FINAL FRIDAY

Skeleton Crew Productions has released the trailer for a documentary film titled Hearts of Darkness: The Making of The Final Friday, which is a feature-length documentary on the making of the 1993 horror film Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday.

The documentary answers the question of “why the hell would anyone let a 23-year-old film student direct a sequel in one of the most profitable franchises in horror history?”

“The true story of how the most divisive film in the Friday the 13th universe came to be. A tale of equal parts perseverance, madness and a love of genre filmmaking that will surprise you with its heart and sense of humor. So come along with us for a journey to hell and back.”

Adam Marcus, the director of the classic horror film, is a producer on the project and is also interviewed in the film alongside stars Kane Hodder, Steven Williams, and John D. LeMay.

Other participants include actors Steven Culp, Rusty Schwimmer, Richard Gant, Kipp Marcus, Andrew Bloch, Allison Smith, Julie Michaels, Michelle Clunie, Michael B. Silver, Kathryn Atwood, and Jonathan Penner, composer Harry Manfredini, and special makeup effects artists Howard Berger and Robert Kurtzman.

Michael Felsher (Just Desserts: The Making of Creepshow) directs the film. Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday the 13th author Peter M. Bracke serves as the writer.

The movie will have its world premiere at FrightFest Glasgow on March 8th and its U.S. premiere at Texas Frightmare Weekend in May.
