Trailer for Syfy's Upcoming Doc TODD MCFARLANE: LIKE HELL I WON'T
Syfy has released the first trailer for their upcoming original documentary film Todd McFarlane: Like Hell I Won’t. The doc details the McFarlane’s “entrepreneur's obstacle-ridden career leading up to the milestone release of the 300th issue of Spawn - McFarlane's hit horror-fantasy series.” It will show us how he “literally raised hell to push boundaries and build an empire.”
The doc comes from director David Oster and offers an in-depth look at the “titular rebel who, at the beginning of his career, was turned away by numerous comic publications. He decided that since no one was recognizing his talent, he would take matters in his own hands.” McFarlane eventually launched McFarlane Toys, Image Comics, and Legendary Artist. Regardless of what you think about Todd McFarlane, what the guy ended up accomplishing and beating the odds that he was up against is inspiring.
The doc will make its world premiere for the “Syfy Fan Fest” on Saturday, July 25th at 11/10c on SYFY. The release of the doc intersects with Comic-Con@Home, where McFarlane will be the part of the panel “Syfy Presents: The Untold Tales of Todd McFarlane” which is set for July 23 at 5pm ET/ 2pm PT.
