Trailer For The "F-ed Up Rom-Com" Series LAID - "A Love Story With a Body Count"

Peacock has released the comedy series titled Laid, which is about a young woman whose former lovers are dying in weird ways.

The synopsis reads: “To her horror, Ruby (Stephanie Hsu) finds out her former lovers are dying in unusual ways and must go through her sex timeline to confront her past in order to move forward.

Laid is described as a “F-ed up rom-com where the answer to 'Why can't I find love, is there something wrong with me?' is a resounding 'Yes. There is. The problem is definitely you.'"

The series was created by Nahnatchka Khan (Always Be My Maybe, Totally Killer) and Sally Bradford McKenna, who said: "Please enjoy as Ruby searches for love, along with help from her best friend AJ who makes Ruby's sex timeline so she can track down all of her exes — the guys, the girls, the one-night stands, the man she only remembers as 'Green Day Shirt' — to tell them... they're going to die. It's truly the love story for our times."

The cast also includes Michael Angarano and Tommy Martinez, and guest stars like Finneas O'Connell, Andre Hyland, Olivia Holt, David Denman, Chloe Fineman, and John Early.

Laid looks like a fun show! Peacock will release it on December 19th, 2024.
