Trailer For The Freddie Prinze Jr. and Monica Potter Crime Thriller THE GIRL IN THE POOL
Here’s the trailer for a new crime thriller film titled The Girl in the Pool, which stars Freddie Prinze Jr. and Monica Potter. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen either of the actors star in a film.
Prinze Jr. takes on the role of Tom, who "reflects on one final rendezvous with a woman he is having an affair with — shortly before that same woman is found dead in his pool. To complicate matters, Tom's wife and his family throw him a surprise birthday party in the same backyard.
“At the party, Tom's shock is noticed by those around him, including his father-in-law and a man who arrives at his home saying he is looking for his wife."
It’s explained that Tom's “life collapses when his mistress is found dead in his pool. Terrified of the consequences, and desperate to protect his family, he conceals the truth, triggering a chaotic night that threatens to unravel his perfect life.”
The movie was directed by Dakota Gorman and it also stars Kevin Pollak, Tyler Lawrence Gray, Brielle Barbusca, and Gabrielle Haugh.
The Girl in the Pool reunites the two actors 23 years after they appeared together in the 2001 film, Head Over Heels.
The Girl in the Pool will be released in select theaters and on VOD starting on July 26th, 2024.
