Treat Your Eyes With The INTERCEPT ASSASSIN'S CREED MIRAGE EDITION Blue Light Glasses

I’ve been lucky and never needed glasses. The most amount of time I’ve worn glasses were during some sunny days while rocking some sunglasses for two or three hours. But sitting in front of my TV or doing anything else in my life, glasses never adorned my face. However, I’ve experienced eye strain from time to time while playing games all night or watching TikTok too long and using Blue Light glasses has helped with that. While they are nice, I’ve never enjoyed having them on for more than an hour and they don’t seem to help that much in reality. But, Gunnar Optiks’ Intercept has made a premium pair of Blue Light Glasses that are unbelievably comfortable and work incredibly well. The Intercept model is well worth its premium price if you find yourself dealing with any kind of eye strain while using screens for any amount of time.

Gunnar Optiks has been making blue light glasses for some time, but this year we see a collaboration with Assassin’s Creed: Mirage to make the Intercept Assassin’s Creed Mirage Edition. While that may be a mouthful of words, it is in the product's simplicity that it excels so much. The design of the glasses is sleek, smooth and familiar to most other glasses. The dark, matte gray, and orange accents and designs are crisp, clean, and fashionable. The yellow tinted lenses match the color scheme and give the cutting edge look that accompanies Assassin’s Creek’s style. Along with the good looks, the glasses are incredibly comfortable and light. I’ve frequently forgotten I was wearing them until I either got into bed, went to the bathroom and saw myself in the mirror, or even stepped out of the house. In addition to their feather-like weight, they are quite durable. From accidently sitting on them to dropping them several times, they have endured a lot and kept their form and style perfectly.

Now, let's get to the actual performance of the glasses. Do they help with eye strain? Absolutely they do. They honestly make the brightest screens in the darkest nights feel comfortable to look at without any noticeable dimming of the image. I’ve gamed and watched TV for more than four hours straight and my eyes barely feel a thing, it is pretty wild how well they work. The orange/yellow hue of the lenses takes a minute for your eyes to adjust, but after that, there is no noticeable change to color perception until you take them off.

The glasses come down to three major caveats: do you suffer from eye strain using screens? Are you willing to spend a premium price? And how much do you value comfort? Considering these things, the Intercept Assassin’s Creed Mirage Edition could be well worth the premium price and improve your gaming experience a significant amount.
