Two Directors in The Running For DC's JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK Movie

Last week we learned that director Doug Liman dropped out of directing Justice League Dark for DC Entertainment due to his schedule. Since then, the names of two directors have surfaced who are said to be up for the directing gig.

THR is reporting that Andy Muschiett is in the running to replace Liman. Muschiett is best known for directing the horror film Mama and he's also in the process of helming the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King's It, which looks so good!

Then on the latest episode of the Meet The Movie Press podcast, Jeff Sneider says that Argentinian filmmaker Damián Szifron is also in the mix. I'm sure you don't recognize that name because he's not really known in the states. He directed an Argentine black comedy anthology film called Wild Tales. Szifron is also attached to direct Universal Pictures' Six Billion Dollar Man

WB is looking to hire someone to replace Liman soon because they want to get Justice League Dark into production. I have no doubts that there are other directors in the mix, but these are the only two names that have surfaced so far.

If I had to choose one, I'd have to go with Muschiette, because I'm more familiar with his work and it looks like he did a great job with Stephen King's It! It seems like his dark horror background would come in handy for a movie like Justice League Dark.

It'll be interesting to see who ends up directing the film next. Who would you like to see take on the job?
