Warner Bros. Sets Release Date For DC's SHAZAM! 2

Warner Bros. recently announced a bunch of release dates for several of the upcoming film projects, but there was a film we knew was coming but wasn’t on that list. That movie was Shazam! 2 and the studio has now revealed that sequel will be released on April 1, 2022.

That released date is four months after Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam comes out on December 22, 2021. Zachary Levi will be back to reprise his role in Shazam! 2 and David F. Sandberg is expected to return to direct.

I enjoyed the first film and it’ll be interesting to see how Sandberg continues the story with this sequel. All of this is leading to a big Shazam! and Black Adam showdown.

Warner Bros. also announced that they moved back its live-action Sesame Street movie six months to January 15th, 2022. That film is being directed by Portlandia co-creator Jonathan Krisel. Sesame Workshop, which holds the rights to the show, is involved in the development of the movie.
