Watch: Spike Jonze's Latest Short Film Stars Stephen Colbert and Grover From SESAME STREET

Filmmaker Spike Jonze — the guy who brought us Her, Being John Malkovich, Where The Wild Things Are, and Adaptation — was a guest on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night to talk about the launch of the new TV channel Viceland. To switch things up a little, he asked if he could make a short film for the show, so in place of the regular intro, this video kicked off the program:

Director Spike Jonze had a vision for how to open The Late Show, so Stephen said, why not?

I like the inexplicable inclusion of a Sesame Street character, and seeing Colbert in a context like that made me wonder if he'd be interested in pursuing acting in movies or TV shows outside of the late night or talk show formulas.
